Our Oxford Summer School gives ambitious students an authentic taste of undergraduate life in Oxford. Explore the university’s historic residential colleges; stay in student bedrooms set in centuries-old quadrangles; socialise in vibrant common rooms; and relax in glorious college gardens.
You’ll listen to expert-led lectures and study in classrooms where 55 Nobel prize winners began their academic journeys, as well as work in state-of-the-art laboratories and theatres where groundbreaking discoveries were made.



Headline Speakers
Our incredible guest speakers are current industry experts and professional trailblazers, uniquely qualified to empower students with current industry knowledge. In previous years our students have been inspired by the likes of historian and broadcaster David Olusoga, cosmonaut Helen Sharman and Amazon Chief Creative Officer, Simon Morris.

Professor Brian Cox
Speaking in Oxford 6th July – 19th July
Brian is a Fellow of the Royal Society and Professor of Particle Physics at The University of Manchester. He also works on the ATLAS experiment at CERN in Geneva, and is an incredibly popular TV and radio presenter on shows such as BBC2’s Solar System.

Helen Sharman
Speaking in Oxford 3rd August – 16th August
Pioneer, role model, science communicator and world-class inspirational speaker, Helen became the first British Astronaut in May 1991, aged 27, when she spent 8 days orbiting the Earth. Chosen out of 13,000 people, Helen underwent rigorous training and preparation for her orbit, and now inspires others with her story.

All lessons, meals, lectures and events take place on campus at Oxford University. For example, our 16-18 year old medical students can develop their clinical skills and get hands-on experience in a real university lab.

Not only will you live and study on campus, you’ll also experience the city’s rich culture, from punting along the river to exploring the famous Ashmolean Museum.
Celebrate Your Achievements in Style
And after a busy two weeks of learning, students can celebrate all of their hard work with fun parties, held in amazing campus venues. On the final Friday, we host a party with a specific theme for each of our age groups – our students love taking part in a silent disco, dancing to a DJ set, or exploring a range of other activities.
Graduation
As the programme draws to a close, students take part in a prestigious graduation ceremony to celebrate all of their achievements, where we’ll present you with your certificates in a beautiful Oxford University venue.

Excursions
Students at our Oxford Summer School will enjoy a thrilling excursion to a nearby city during the programme. For example, 16-18-year-olds will visit London, the UK’s buzzing capital, where they can explore world-famous landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye. Meanwhile, 13-16-year-olds will get the opportunity to take a day trip to a historic site in the UK, from the historic city of Bath, known for and named after its centuries-old Roman-built baths, Statford-upon-Avon, the former home of Shakespeare, or Warwick Castle, one of the most popular historic palaces in the UK.

Activities in Oxford
We host many extracurricular events in the amazing venues the city of Oxford has to offer. Every evening, students can take part in our Debate Society, helping them to develop confidence and communications skills, all culminating in our debating grand final.
16-18 year old students also enjoy enriching seminars from globally-renowned thought leaders, such as our ‘Shaping Your Future’ series and Headline Address, which explore the important issues facing the modern world today.
As well as our educational timetable and exclusive events and excursions (see above) our students can relax and make lifelong friends through structured social and sporting activities, including a popular campus talent show and Olympics in the Park.

We teach our 13-15-year-old students the key principles of their chosen field. For 16-18-year-olds, we focus on preparing for their university applications and guiding future career aspirations, as they learn more about different specialisms within their chosen subject.
Meet Some of Our Teachers

Dr Claire Keene
Dr Claire Keene is a public health clinician with a masters in International Health and Tropical Medicine from the University of Oxford. She is an experienced clinical trial manager, recently managing a Médecins Sans Frontières project on HIV and tuberculosis.

Dr Anisa Butt
A member of the Oxford Royale team for many years, Anisa Butt is a lecturer in economics at King’s College London. Currently completing a PhD in Economics from the University of Reading, her focus is on gender and ethnic income inequality.

Dr. Rehan Shah
Dr. Rehan Shah is a Lecturer in Mathematics and Engineering Education at Queen Mary University of London. He has completed a BEng in Mechanical Engineering with Business Finance at UCL with LSE, an MSc in Mathematical Modelling and Scientific Computing at the University of Oxford, and a PhD in Applied Mathematics at UCL.

Kelly Thornton
Kelly holds a first class degree in Law from Queen Mary University of London, and a BPTC and Masters Degree from BPP University. She practises as a Law Lecturer in family law and corporate crime, and is a qualified mediator covering both civil and commercial cases.

Tamoghna Das
Tamoghna Das is a passionate data scientist who holds an MSc in Biochemical Engineering from University College, London, and a degree in Data Science from the University of East Anglia. He is an educator, designer and engineer, and specialises in AI and Biotech.
