Timothy Dwight College

Timothy Dwight College

This summer our students will be hosted on campus at Timothy Dwight College. Timothy Dwight is the ninth residential college of Yale University, and when it first opened it was named by Yale publications as one of the most architecturally pleasing colleges.

It is one of only four Yale residential colleges at Yale where freshman can live within the college, rather than Yale’s Old Campus, meaning it has a reputation for a strong sense of community and friendship. Well known alumni of Timothy Dwight include Sarah Hughes, Olympic gold-medal winning figure skater; Shawn Levy, film director and producer known for his work on the Night at the Museum films, Arrival and Stranger Things; and Porter Goss, former Director of the CIA.

A beautiful and historic location, Timothy Dwight College provides our students the unique opportunity to live and study on campus at an historic institution of learning.

About our Yale Campus

Our Summer Courses at Yale are hosted on campus at Yale University. Nestled in the heart of Connecticut, Yale University has produced an extensive list of world leader alumni, including American presidents, business founders and actors. Modern, cutting-edge facilities, coupled with Collegiate Gothic architecture, brings the third-oldest American university into the 21st century whilst preserving its prestigious heritage.

Safety and security on campus

In the college students are overseen by the Programme Director, who implements the day-to-day running of the programme. The Director is assisted by a team of Counsellors who very often are current members of our host institutions.

The Counsellors ensure that students are looked after pastorally, culturally and socially during their programme. Students are able to talk informally and frankly to the Counsellors in order to raise concerns or to discuss university applications.

Each campus has a few members of residential staff who live in the college throughout the programme and are able to assist students at any time of the day or night.
