Oxford Royale at Yale
This summer, Oxford Royale students will be hosted on campus at Timothy Dwight College. As the ninth residential college within this historic Ivy League institution, Timothy Dwight was recognised upon its opening as one of the most architecturally pleasing colleges.
It is one of only four residential colleges where freshmen can live within the college itself rather than on the university’s Old Campus, fostering a strong sense of community and friendship. Notable alumni of Timothy Dwight include Sarah Hughes, Olympic gold-medal-winning figure skater; Shawn Levy, film director and producer known for Night at the Museum, Arrival, and Stranger Things; and Porter Goss, former Director of the CIA.
Part of an Ivy League institution ranked as the third-best national university in the United States and the third-oldest higher education institution in the country, the university provides the perfect setting for an Oxford Royale summer course. Founded in 1701, the university has been home to many distinguished individuals, including 60 Nobel laureates and world leaders such as U.S. presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton.
A beautiful and historic location, Timothy Dwight College offers Oxford Royale students the unique opportunity to live and study within a renowned academic setting.
Students at our Oxford Royale Summer Course at Yale will be accommodated on campus at Timothy Dwight College in twin and triple rooms. Nestled in the heart of Connecticut, the third-oldest American university seamlessly blends its prestigious heritage with the 21st century through modern, cutting-edge facilities alongside Collegiate Gothic architecture.
In the college students are overseen by the Programme Director, who implements the day-to-day running of the programme. The Director is assisted by a team of Counsellors who very often are current members of our host institutions.
The Counsellors ensure that students are looked after pastorally, culturally and socially during their programme. Students are able to talk informally and frankly to the Counsellors in order to raise concerns or to discuss university applications.
Each campus has a few members of residential staff who live in the college throughout the programme and are able to assist students at any time of the day or night.
